Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Free Trial Period

All new subscribers receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. During this period:

  • You can cancel at any time with no charge
  • Your payment method will only be charged if you continue past the trial period
  • You will receive a reminder email before your trial ends
  • Cancellation takes effect immediately during the trial

2. Subscription Billing

After your free trial ends, your subscription will automatically renew monthly:

  • Standard Plan: $49/month

All subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis.

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time by:

  • Going to your Account Settings and clicking "Manage Subscription"
  • Using the Stripe billing portal to cancel
  • Contacting our support team at support@nctaxdeeds.com

3.2 When Cancellation Takes Effect

  • During free trial: Cancellation is immediate, no charge
  • After trial: You retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • No partial refunds for unused time in the current billing period

3.3 What Happens After Cancellation

When your subscription ends:

  • You lose access to premium features (calculators, alerts, advanced tools)
  • Your saved searches, favorites, and notes are preserved for 90 days
  • You can reactivate your subscription anytime to restore full access
  • After 90 days of inactivity, your data may be deleted

4. Refund Policy

4.1 General Refund Policy

All subscription fees are non-refundable except in the following circumstances:

You may be eligible for a refund if:

  • Technical issues: The Service was unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours due to our fault
  • Billing errors: You were charged incorrectly or multiple times
  • Unauthorized charges: Your account was compromised and charges were made without your authorization
  • Service not as described: The Service materially differs from what was advertised (must be reported within 7 days)

4.3 NOT Eligible for Refund

Refunds will NOT be provided for:

  • Change of mind after the free trial period
  • Failure to cancel before the trial period ends
  • Unused time in your current billing period
  • Dissatisfaction with property data accuracy (data is from public sources)
  • Investment losses or missed opportunities
  • Violation of Terms of Service resulting in account termination

4.4 Refund Request Process

To request a refund:

  1. Email support@nctaxdeeds.com within 7 days of the charge
  2. Include your account email and reason for the refund request
  3. Provide any relevant documentation (screenshots, error messages, etc.)
  4. We will review your request within 5 business days
  5. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days

If your payment method fails:

  • We will attempt to charge your card up to 3 times over 7 days
  • You will receive email notifications about failed payments
  • Your account will be suspended if payment cannot be processed
  • You have 7 days to update your payment method before account deletion
  • No refunds for service interruption due to payment failure

We reserve the right to change subscription prices:

  • You will receive 30 days' notice before any price increase
  • The new price applies to your next billing cycle
  • You can cancel before the price change takes effect

6. Chargebacks

Important: If you dispute a charge with your bank (chargeback) instead of contacting us:

  • Your account will be immediately suspended
  • We may pursue collection of the disputed amount
  • You may be banned from future use of the Service
  • Please contact us first to resolve billing issues

7. Taxes

All prices are in USD and do not include applicable taxes. You are responsible for:

  • Sales tax, VAT, or other taxes required in your jurisdiction
  • Providing accurate tax information if required

8. Service Interruptions

We strive for 99.9% uptime, but occasional interruptions may occur:

  • Planned maintenance: Announced in advance, no refunds
  • Emergency maintenance: Necessary for security or stability, no refunds
  • Extended outages: If the Service is down for more than 48 hours due to our fault, contact us for a prorated credit

9. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

No refunds for data issues: Property information is aggregated from public sources and may contain errors or be outdated. We do not guarantee accuracy and are not liable for:

  • Incorrect property information
  • Missing properties
  • Outdated sale dates or bid amounts
  • Investment decisions based on our data

Always verify information independently before making investment decisions.
